 The Bride Carmen was born in Irving, Texas to two wild and crazy parents, Terry and Cindy. Her best friend and younger sister, Lauren, got hitched last summer to Jordan Brooks. Carmen spent time as a high school math teacher in Houston before moving to Austin to pursue a Ph.D. in mathematics education. She's got a natural talent for making people groan. Her witty puns helped her win the 2008 O. Henry Pun-Off World Championships. She's been part of a world record breaking Thriller dance, she was the lead guitar player in a local band called The Hips, and she can recite the alphabet backwards in less than 5 seconds. She loves to swim, loves pouring sparkling water on her head to feel the bubbles, and really, really loves Steve. |
 The Groom Steve isn't exactly sure where he was born. He knows it was either in Connecticut or Massachusetts, but he always forgets which is the right one. He's got two great parents, Greg and Carla, and three younger siblings, Emily, Tom, and Sarah. Steve worked as a GIS Analyst (that means he makes smart maps with info on them like Google Maps) at Fort Hood. He also went to Louisiana immediately following the BP Gulf Oil Spill and used his make mapping abilities to aid the response. He is passionate about Intellectual Property laws, loves golf, and his heart melts when he thinks of the Tex Mex restaurant Mesa Rosa. The only thing he'd rather have than a Border Melt from Mesa Rosa is Carmen. |
